Daniele, I don't believe there is way to convert a form into an external form directly; however there is a procedure that will ease the task.
Open the form you want to convert Select all the items you want to move to the external form Copy the items to the Clipboard (CTRL C) Open the External Form Paste the items from the clipboard (CTRL V) On the original form, go to Layout>>Design Menu Bar Select the items you want to copy and click on the "Copy to Clipboard" icon Go to the external form Layout>>Design Menu bar Paste the selected action using the "Copy from Clipboard" icon This will also copy all the submenus under the action Use the same procedure to copy al the EEPs (Before and After Start) You can have both form open at the same time, side by side on the screen so the process goes pretty quickly And as R:azzak would say...that is all there is to it... I believe that 9.5 will have an option to convert an application into an external form. You might want to submit a request to automate the conversion from a standard to an external form.
