I vaguely remember a trick shown during one of the trainings but it doesn't come to mind right now.
But you can create a new blank external form, open up your existing form and CTRL-A to select all, CTRL-C from the form and switch to the external form and CTRL-V to copy all of your controls. Then all you have to do is check for any form eeps and copy them.
