R:azzak,
If you are copying from a standard from to a new External form, you can
have both forms side-by-side on the screen in just one session, right?
Javier,
Forms side-by-side on the screen in just "one session", No.
Forms side-by-side on the screen as "two sessions", Yes.
Technically, the Form Designer and External Form Designer are two
separate designers. You cannot place them side-by-side. [Alt + Tab]
will NOT switch between two designers with one session. You will have
to either use Main Menu | Windows, or select the appropriate module
from the bottom of the Database Explorer. This could be confusing
for a few individuals.
Imagine the instructions and all details when you are trying to
simplify things as much as you can, to help someone!
Using R:BASE eXtreme 9.5 (Build: 9.5.1.10214 or higher), you should
be able to convert any "Variable Form" to an "External Form File",
including all Form EEPs, Menu Bar, Custom Form Actions, Design Actions,
with a single click!
