[most] Everything works in 32 bit, somethings don't work in 64 bit if the installer doesn't follow the rules for installation on it. 32 bit apps installed correctly will run just fine on a 64 bit machine.
I'm still not seeing software written for 64 bit that advantages itself to the 64 bit OS (office type apps would be a poor example for 64 bit utilization). Math intensive or graphic intensive apps would be more suitable. I am likely going to stick with 32 bit Win7 for quite a while yet. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: "RBASE-L Mailing List" <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, March 27, 2012 5:51 PM Subject: [RBASE-L] - OT: 64 bit OS : Remember I posted a week ago about laptop specs. : I saw a posting of someone selling a Toshiba Satellite : Pro that has the power you all recommended, BUT it : has a 64-bit operating system.
