Why cannot I see the Appdata file on my computer in the example you showed? I found the scratch on my computer in this location: C:\users\jim.k\appsata\temp\ When I go to the location jim.k there is no folder appdata?

Look under Control Panel User Accounts It may look something like this %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Temp Make sure that location is consistent with your other machines and that the user has permissions to it and that virus scanning leaves it alone.
