Jim
Assuming that Windows 95-98 is your computers OS then I think I have the
answer for you. I have had a number of RbDos applications running under
Win95 through Win2000 and have had the same printing problems . In the Win
Pritner Setup, you mustcheck the print in dos applications box and you must
also capture the printer port. Or you can use a capture command in a batch
file that starts the application.
Sample Batch For NT Server;
Net Use LPT1:\\servername\printer share name [captures printer port
for
network]
Server Drive Letter(F:\)
cd\apps sub-directory
App Startup file name
cd\
Workstation Drive Letter(C:\)
NetUse LPT1:/delete [un-captures printer port]
If you do not uncapture the printer port and this printer is not your
default Windows printer then your system will continue to print to the
captured printer port.
One of theses 2 methods should work for you. If they don't then look at the
printer setup on the files server and repeat the above steps.
Hope this works.

G-Day all
We are using RB 6.0 Dos and are wanting to use a EPSON Stylus Color 900
printer... I set the settings in the RBase.cfg to EPSON1 and EPSON2 and
neither print anything... This will print to a networked/Captured Laser
printer. I have attempted to use older drivers, the newest drivers.
Attempted to try the R:> with:
OUT PRI
LIST TABLES
OUT SCR
What is a pain is that it doesn't give any errors... just doesn't do
anything whether I attempt to do this from the prompt or a report...
Any suggestions
