Visual Basic & R:BASE

Good day everyone:

        How many of you folks are using visual basic to 
write an interface to R:BASE files rather than using the 
built in forms generator?  


        If you are using visual basic to do this what are 
the pros and cons associated with it?  Please be brief if 
possible.  Thanks in advance for your input.
