My experience so far with the Sybase app which we have in our office is that it gobbles up memory like a hungry beast. Most of us have a simple 128MB on our workstations (and yes, the program resides on both the workstations and the server) and can rarely keep much of anything else open without an inevitable crash and restart. And though memory is cheap right now (I've seen 128MB for as low as $19.95), who knows what it will be tomorrow. I'll keep anyone who is interested updated. Personally, I'm still quite biased toward RBase.
