Dear James It may be totally unrelated, but have you made any changes to the Windows display font size recently (Display Properties: Settings: Advanced: Display Font Size)?
In the past, I experienced similar problems with reports when I copied a database created on a computer with fonts set to large to one where they were set to small. It was only thanks to Razzak that I solved the problem by setting the font size to a consistent large display.
