I doubt that this is related to the problem but just in case it is: The one problem I have noticed in the Report Designer is that fields can move if you have "Snap To Grid" set on and then [Page Up] or [Page Down] through the report. It appears to me that the grid seems to move unevenly. If you happen to click on a field after the grid has moved then, naturally, the field snaps to the new nearest point. It is VERY easy to miss seeing this happen.
