I found a file called datadict.  It has the definition of each column and the table it is in.  Wow what a discovery.   I tried making an rbase table before importing in accordance with the datadict.  But when I tried to import, it said I didn't have enuff columns.  so I imported into a new table and got 9 more columns than were defined, but they were empty.  Gateway made them all note cols. so I had to redefine them properly. There are 36 .dbf files. They imported as dbase IV. So I got the first table, 35 more to go!!!    Bernie Lis Megabytes, Inc.
