Follow-Up : I created a file w/2 commands PAU ; RETURN and replicated 15 times, w/names fm - did you guess it - "1".."123456789012345". Each file executed until "123456789012345". F/those who weren't counting, that's 15 bytes. It appears that whatever (configuration option is) the cause of the problem, filenames longer than 14 bytes, inclusive of extension, cannot be opened f/execution, although they can be opened in RBEDIT.
