I am running version 1.855xRT03. I have no problem running a command file
that is 20 char. long with a 3 char. extension (20.3). When I use the "DIR"
command from the R> prompt (no need to go to the DOS Window), the truncated
file name is displayed (8 char. , ~ being the 7th character, plus a 3 char.
extension - 8.3) which is a DOS legacy name followed by the file size, date,
time and at the end of the line the long file name.
I have tried using the "RUN" command with the truncated name (8.3) and it
also works fine.
I seem to recall a thread that discussed this issue a while back where there
was length limit on the command file name, and if my memory is correct, one
of the recent patches corrected this issue.

Steve,
Open a MS-DOS command prompt and do a DIR in the directory your
file are stored. The DIR command will give you the 8.3 file
name usually something like LONGFI~1.rmd for LONGFILENAME.RMD.
Use the 8.3 format as Rbase seems in some cases to have problems
with long file names.
