IMHO that sounds like it wasnt getting enough juice from time to time so the
comptuer would think it became unplugged then when you went to redetect it,
it could find it again since it had power.  Something like an all in one is
sure to draw alot of power.  Id imagine a scanner would need lots of power
too so kinda makes sense (:
