Excellent, Dennis, a sliding pivot date, which was probably the best
all-around Y2K remediation method used by anyone, esp. in a "big iron"
and/or hierarchical/network database environment.

Everyone who faces this CCYY-versus-YY challenge should pay attention to
this code.

BTW, Razzak, I, f/one, would appreciate your consideration of a change in
the doc's related to this, namely what I wrote in the previous line. That
is, instead of describing date FORMATs/SEQUENCEs as 'YYYY', might describe
them as 'CCYY'? Anybody else care to comment?

Later,
Steve in Memphis
(P.S. Given last week's successful "Dead Elvis Week" (as some of us here
affectionately term it) despite the (almost) daily rainfall and intermittent
but intense heat, I'd just add that, although he's definitely "left the
building", Elvis is still king. FWIW, Steve)
