Bon and Ben:
Thanks for the information, this is what I was looking for. I plan to use it
to scan the bar code from parts when generating work orders. I will look up
the information on the Internet. I am currently on 6.5++ but I will be
upgrading as soon as 7.0 is available as it has several features not
currently available that I "have" to have. Does anyone know when 7.0 will be
available other than "when it is ready"? Any guesses?...Razzak?

Subject: RE: Setting up for Barcoding

Javier,

We have used keyboard wedges from WORTH DATA in
California for 12+ years and they are extremely
reliable. I use them to dump data into R:Base every
day for a patient charging system and piggy back
labels for supplies. Never errors out. You can get
the wand readers or large hand scanners. Just discuss
what kind of bar code you currently have - laser or
dot-matrix. Will read all the popular bar codes.
Also, anything Razzak can shoehorn into version 7 this
will read. It is a good fit if you are planning to
use v7 to print bar codes. They never break down. I
don't have the number at hand but they should be on
the web.
