Larry,

I have just started my upgrade to Win v7.1 from DOS.
But from following the list for many years. Here's
what I have gleaned.

In DOS you could have a multi-table editable view as
long as you didn't use GROUP BY.

In WINDOWS your editable view must be a single table
view.

I'm not sure if any of my views will fail for the
above reasons. As of now I plan to do a comprehensive
rewrite after I do some experimenting with the form
and report features.

Presently I am going through the slow process of
printing out the documentation PDF's. It slow because
I want to do two sided printing and don't have a
duplex laserjet printer. So I print 25 page odd side
only then turn them over and print the even side
pages. Tried to do more at a time but after several
disasters with paper jams and resulting miss matches
on page sequence I decided to limit my frustration and
print in small batches. Unfortunately the manuals are
hefty.

Am I just a dinasor or are there others who lament the
loss of all those printed manuals we used to get with
our software purchases. I have pounds and pounds of
IBM documentation for my OS/2 phase. Some how I find
it much easier to lean from a printed page than for
all this "Online" help and reference files.
