Presently I am going through the slow process of
printing out the documentation PDF's. It slow because
I want to do two sided printing and don't have a
duplex laserjet printer. So I print 25 page odd side
only then turn them over and print the even side
pages. Tried to do more at a time but after several
disasters with paper jams and resulting miss matches
on page sequence I decided to limit my frustration and
print in small batches. Unfortunately the manuals are
hefty.

Jim,

Imagine the cost of printing those manuals. Not to mention
the speed of on-going changes, features and enhancements,
every single day. The moment the final copy goes to the
printer, it would be obsolete the next day.

Who is going to keep up with our speed of development?

Finally, start simple, then go to the next easiest level.
This is the secret of champions. If you work your way from
one level to the next, then you can end up a very skillful
developer. If you jump in at the top, you can end up quite
overwhelmed.
