What I did with the rotated variable label was that I changed the code that generates the report so that the columns are now the rows and the rows are now the columns.
I have plenty of room for my long "column" headers at the start of each row. The report looks a little funny since they were used to seeing it the other way, but is quite usable. -- Larry
