Not very elegant and it would take a bit of time, but maybe you could
extract the letters of your variable label and display each letter
individually in a vertical style???

Like that?

By the way, that's one of the best features in 7.5. Not a rotated
variable label, but the ability to change the text PROPERTY of the
rotated static text.

Subject: [RBG7-L] - Rotated variable label

I find myself with the need to include a rotated label on a report with
a caption that changes from report to report. I have the values I need
to print in variables, although I could also put them into a temporary
table.

Unfortunately, RB7.1 only seems to have a static rotated label, not one
based on variable or DB values.

Does anyone have any clever suggestions how I can work around this? I
have some quite long column headers for some fairly narrow numerical
columns -- I want to display the headers angled at 90 degrees, or
perhaps a little less.
The headers change from run to run of the report.
