Dennis - If you can get them to upgrade to 7.5, the dbGrid has a feature for a DropDown of either pre-defined values or a lookup list. One caveat is that it only can display and return one column from the lookup table. But if that works for you... But, back to your 7.1 question - you could set the item they chose from the lookup list into a variable and use the CLIPBOARD option. Then the users can just press Ctrl-V to paste it. Slow hardware/networking can make good s/w look bad and vice versa. I've lost the popup capability in the rows/cells where the user can pick a value. I now have a button outside the dbgrid where they can view a list and type in a value. Is there an easy way for them to copy/paste from the list into the desired cell/row?
