Hi, My new Rambouillet is equipped with the standard Shimano side pulls w/quick release and Shimano levers without a quick release...I don't know the model but they look like the regular Shimano models that were on most of the Rambos. Running 30+ mm tires, with the quick release open, I dont have enough clearance to slip in an inflated tire. Question. If I swapped the non quick-release Shimano levers for some Tektros with a quick release would that increase the opening of the brake calipers....clear as mud??...In other words would I gain any additional tire clearance or are the calipers just not built to go any wider? If not anybody tried the Bigmouths?
