I've had great success with the durability of zip ties holding my small Wald basket to my rear rack and I carry as much as 20 lbs. I am a bit of a tightwad and a lot of a "non-waster," so I don't like to just cut zip ties and reuse them. Plus, it took me quite a while, probably 15 minutes, to get the basket centered and tie on zip ties very tightly (anal rententive??). I wouldn't want to take the basket on and off the rack very much. I just remove the whole rack with the basket which is far easier for me.
I have taken some verbal abuse by one cycling friend for my method and, alas, I'm thicker skinned for it. Of course, my friend rode carbon for years while I was correctly riding superior steel. He finally saw the light. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
