MKS sneakers or grip kings. Cheaper to get sneaker friendly pedals than get new shoes. I used to suffer with the rat traps, even though they look so nice, then just switched pedals and all my shoes work great. But to answer your actual question, Keen Newport sandals have a nice stiff sole that worked for me. They do slip around when wet and get hellishly stinky in the summer.
