For those who still want the traditional downtube shifter shape, Dia Compe makes them with the same ratcheting friction internals as Silver shifters. It's cosmetically a little different, but functionally it's the same shifter. I'd guess this is a little bit why Riv is making something new instead of making the same shape if they need to invest in a new mold. I'm looking forward to these! David River Grove, IL
