Well, "off-road" covers a lot of ground, so to speak. On a dry trail with scattered rocks as the main obstacles, or on a groomed but unpaved trail, the BAs at lowish pressure would be ok or even great. On the Minnesota River Bottoms, where I often ride, muddy, slippery roots protrude at acute angles across the trail, and can send one ass- over-teakettle pretty quickly if the tire doesn't have the knobbiness to get traction on the roots.
