!!!40 lb front???!!! I weigh 170 and the 2.35s roll well on pavement at 12 psi front, were it not for the flop.
The flop I feel at sub 16-17 (having just discovered this to be the minimum to avoid said flop) is oversteer: you lean into a turn on a firm surface (since you don't feel this on loose surfaces) and the wheel wants to turn further than you intended. Again, 17 psi front is fine for this and, note, I use drops and ride in the hooks for most of my pavement riding and thus weight the front wheel more; still, no flop at 17 psi. Anything above 20 front/25 rear feels as if the tires are solid. Perhaps it's the tiny (17" medium; I'm 5'10" in bare feet) and heavy-tubed Monocog frame?
