Stainless is not as bad as Ti but does mark shoes as well.  I
certainly could wrap it with something - handlebar tape, rim tape,
cork, twine if I had 40 minutes or so to spend.  There are even some
costlier leather options for those so inclined.  I resist as I like
the all metal look.
