Kevin, this is pretty much one of those things that you just have to do and find out for yourself. Every type of handlebar has positives and negatives associated with it. If you do get some A-bars, I would recommend getting the steel ones and the long & tall Technomic (non- dlx) stem. Those two make a wonderful combination IMHO. Wrap the forward curves with some extra cloth tape to have a nice extra aero position to use on the straights.
