Due to some luck, I've managed to acquire a couple of servicable wheelchair motor controllers, motors, chargers, and all controls for very cheap. Everything but batteries, can't have everything I guess. :-) I found an article on-line where a gentleman made an RC lawn mower using this by replacing the joystick with a couple of servos (detailed instructions to boot!). As it is a 24v system it should handle the M01's rather nicely as the wheel chair motors are simply too long. The nifty part is the controllers are fully programmable. I am going to try this in the Ariete and if successful I'll retro fit the Bulldog. Recycling at its finest.
