well what i am thinking of doing is rather than weld it as you have yours, i would have the arm drilled so the rod can go into it. the arm would have a cut from the back of the bar to the hole and that would be drilled and tapped so i could make the arm work as a clamp on the 1/4" rod. as soon as i find out how much the work on the chimney is going to cost me today will determine if i can get some 1/4 rod next week to start the suspension.
