I started with about as much RC know-how as yourself ans has a grand
adventure trying to figure it all out.
First of all, ask a few questions.
1. how far are into your tank build, and do you have any photos?
2. do you have a radio/receiver? if not you will need at least 5
channels.
3. Do you have suitable motors? 24 15amp will not do. 24v 350w are
pretty much the standard (besure they have gear reduction already)
4. Do you have batteries? Get some , I recomend two 12v 26ah batteries
to start with (make sure they fit in the tank first).
5. do you have a speed control? Thats the bit that will convert your
radio signals to electrical control for your motors. Here you can
spend any where form $25 to $500. You usualy get what you pay for. For
something cheap and reliable check out www.anvilus.com

Be sure to ask lots of questions, there are a lot of real fine people
here happy to help you. Use them, send photos, ask questions.
