As many of you know, the Quarter Pounder had a complete system meltdown and missed a whole battle last year. It started out with the elevate servo dying, and then the rotate ESC wouldn't respond. I've done some playing around with the ESC to see if I could remedy its problem (hadn't let out magic smoke..yet). It turns out that I got it to work again. What seems to be the problem is the BEC (battery eliminator circuit) isn't providing power to the receiver. When I had power going to the receiver via another source, it would work just fine.
I'm just curious if any of you guys (who know a lot more about this sort of stuff than I do) could give a possible reason to why this is happening, and what could have caused it? If not, I'll just waterproof it and throw into my boat. Thanks, Caleb -- -- You are currently subscribed to the "R/C Tank Combat" group.
