The link is e1000 in both ends, so there should be no lag. It may
be a timeout
issue, though, is there a built in timeout in the rdiff connection
that I
could tweak?
nope rdiff-backup doesn't have a timeout... but maybe your ssh is
doing
something? or perhaps some timeout in the shell on the remote side?
There is an option in SSH to set connection timeout. Maybe the
default value is being hit. I will try to pass a value for
"ConnectionTimeout" in the ssh config file for the server and see
what arises.
