Ryan, I would be very wary. If DP&W says it is engineered for Sched.40 steel then that is what it is most likely warrantied for. I don't do anything that would void a manufacturers warranty. After 21 years in this business it is one of the most important things I've learned. If DP&W will warranty it the way it is, then it is on them at that point.
