Hi Jon, The product may recover some neglected, damaged batteries. Of course, it would not be necessary if one would properly charge and equalize the battery before sulfation occurs. The lead sulfate is converted back to sulfuric acid in the electro-chemical process. Also, adding it to a new battery will void the warranty.
