I'm meeting him tomorrow. He tells me it's too close but I can't get him to tell me what an acceptable distance would be. It's totally insane. I was pretty sure there was nothing in the NEC about this specifically, but I wanted to make sure before I asked him to cite a code reference in his rejection letter so I could appeal it to the chief.
