The "R" inverters have had a persistent issue that the list discussed recently. You get an error "inverter firmware mismatch". This results in losing a phase and then can be cleared by power cycling the Mate 3s and will work ok for a while and then repeat. The latest firmware for the Mate3s attempts to solve this but we will see...
This has been an ongoing and frustrating issue with the fxr inverters. In my experience, this doesn't happen with fx inverters, or Radian inverters at all. Outback tech support had been all over the place on this but I think, with this latest firmwate release, acknowledge the issue.
