Please test the latest "devel" branch version... my hope is that it's ready
to be declared version 1.0.0.
I've changed how GUILE_SITE is handled, hopefully for the better.
1. In all cases, if GUILE_SITE is set, that value is used.
2. Otherwise, if prefix is /usr/local, but guile reports that GUILE_SITE is
/usr/share/guile/site (these are their default values), then
GUILE_SITE is /usr/share/guile/site.
3. Otherwise, GUILE_SITE is ${datarootdir}/guile/site
If this (when expanded) is different from the GUILE_SITE
that guile reports, a warning is given.
This ruleset means that "make distcheck" works correctly, and
typical uses (with prefix as /usr/local or /usr) work without effort.
Suspicious situations are noted as such.
