I've tested the package on Fedora 17 and on Cygwin-on-Windows-7. All seems well. make install, make uninstall, and make distcheck all do the right thing. The default prefix (/usr/local) and --prefix=/usr seem to work fine. On Fedora you can create an rpm, then install and uninstall them too.
