Pretty much any app on your list could be done in RB, in some cases
with a
little help from C libraries for certain types of speed critical
operations.

I pretty much agree with you on this point except for one caveat.
Most or all of those application required large teams to code them.

Even with external items?
Hey, RB's non-external items are the most useless concept I've seen
ever.
Why isn't each and any class/item external? For speed reasons? No, since
all other IDEs manage to handle external items fast and flexible.
External items have so many advantages and are even required in certain
situations.
RS, please move anything to external.
