And is there any reason why they cant support both .rbp and external files (in text format) for those who actually have to do some real team work ? (or just simple versioning with merge capabilities).

With this kind of thinking then how can you ever expect REALbasic to grow out of being a toy ? It needs to get to the level where teams can use it without any troubles.
