RFC 2368 appears to discourage the use of mailto: URLs for sending mail
with attachments.

Now my question is- how can you add an attachment? The best I can
figure is applescript but that won't work on PC and may also be
specific to a particular mail program as opposed to showURL which
works with any mail program designated the default in the system
preferences.

Is there a way to use ShowUrl to send mail.app an email address
(main, cc and bcc), a subject and body?
I tried ShowURL "mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]"+"?subject="+msgSubject and
that worked. But I'd also like to send the body of the message as
well.
Hence I tried adding "?message="+msgString to that, but it goes on
the subject line not in the message body.
I was trying to use ShowURL to hopefully keep be able to use it on
Mac and Windows otherwise I'd see if I could figure out how to run an
Applescript from within RB (which I've never done).
Hints?
Mel
