Obviously it does matter. Steve's problem was solved by changing the
creator code from "****" to "????", as you could have find out from
previous mails in this thread.
I saw that, but it didn't indicate to me that it solved the problem,
only that he was politely giving thanks for the suggestion. I happen
to have internal knowledge of how drag & drop works in REALbasic, and
I don't see how creator code COULD matter; only type is used for file
filtering. Creator codes in file types are used only when creating
files.
Also, it turns out that drags from the Finder work fine while they're
not working from some other app, as you have probably found out from
previous mails in this thread.
