DataAvailable fires with as few as one characters. You need to put them
into a buffer and watch for the EOL. This tends to be characteristic of
serial ports. It's not yet clear too me whether or not this is also
characteristic of USB-Serial converter systems as I have not tried it
yet.
In theory, you may be right...
But in my specific case, I get "words" or "lines" with \cr\lf...
Search about "UbiSurf_AT_Command_Set.pdf" in the Apple Web site (sorry, URL
lost).
AT and AT& Commands: (page 3 and 4)
I Request Information From Modem
I0 “5600”
I1 Software driver Version “Apple Version ###”
I2 “OK”
I3 Software Version
I4 “Apple Internal Modem”
I5 Country Code in Hex
I6 Country Code
I7 Product Code
I8 Disconnect Reason
I9 Country Name
I12 Apple Product Code
And so when I send ATI1 I get (in several times) in my EditField:
ATI1
Apple Version 1.3.3
OK

BTW: what value have what you calls "EOL" ?
Thank you for your answer,
Emile
