Except that they blew their credibility on marketing and the usefulness of this issue by having their internal version 5.5.9 and letting the rest of us know about their use of it instead of RB200x.

Well they did fix a number of framework bugs as a result of developing REALbasic 2005 and 2006; and when you get right down to it I would rather have my apps run more smoothly and have to deal with a few IDE quirks.

Now that 2006 R3 is released, maybe REAL Software will start using REALbasic 2006 R3 for all development (project management features were mentioned as the reason why development was done in 5.5.9).
