Subject: Re: About new MenuItem Keyboard Shortcuts

Every Mac keyboard I've ever used, the key above return is "Delete" which deletes before the insertion point, and the one to the right is "Forward Delete" which deletes after the insertion point. I've never seen a Mac keyboard labeled "Backspace", even on a PowerBook.

Thanks Thom!

Arnaud: what Thom wrote is my nearly 20 years experience with Apple Computers
(with 5 years at Apple France; Apple IIs and Macintoshes.

What you call Backspace (delete the character on the right of the cursor) is present on
"Extended" Keyboards and with the use of the fn key on recent (some years)
PowerBooks.

I use fn-Delete many times a day (or the 'suppr' key on my Pentium IV
keyboard)...

The Times They-Are-A-Changing ?

Now, how do I make the thing working ?

The question was about Command-Delete as a shortcut. Anyone have tried it on Macintosh ?
[feedback on Windows / Linux are welcome too]
