Hi all,
since early April, I have troubles using internet with my PowerBook (Alu 15",
1.5GHz, Mac OS X 10.3.9 xyz; I installed Mac OS X 10.4.x because of that, until
10.4.7).
Since Monday 18:00 GMT, I am making intensive downloads with both laptop, using
a WiFi connexion (AirPort 'g' and LinkSys PCMCIA 'g').
On the Windows side, I can (only one file) get 90 KB/sec to 99 KB/sec where on
the PowerBook, I never get more than a mere 4x KB/sec (45 KB/sec was the
maxspeed that I saw).
Did you get similar behavior ?
Are-you aware of some know 'bug' / work-around ?
Also, on the Mac OS X side, this can explain why I cannot download (using
Netscape) REALbasic from RS download page...
However, using curl and the Terminal application let me download it (and
continue to where it stops _if_ a download stop/"crash" occured).
Some web site does not support curl (and so its resume facility), so I am stuck
with a browser...
