I am a rocket scientist (really), and have used RB for a variety of simple problems... like calculating Great Circle distances for a variety of locations. (This is for planning possible missile launch locations, basing, etc.)

RB is easy to program, so the payback in time is worth the effort compared to creating all of the formulas in a spreadsheet...

While my application that I sell is not "scientific," it calculates logarithms, curve fits and linear regressions.
