In terms of capability PostgreSQL is head and shoulders above what is
available with REALSQServer.

And it gives you errors when you try to put a string in a numeric field
But it's also more difficult for a client to set up and administer
It IS the basis of EnterpriseDB though, a direct competitor to
Oracle, etc.
